Location: Chicago, IL, or San Diego, CA (Preferred)
Travel Requirement: 20%–40% (Western U.S.)

Position Summary:

Vitrek is looking for a highly motivated Senior Technical Sales Manager to lead sales and business development efforts for our advanced test & measurement instrumentation across the Western U.S. This role is ideal for a technically proficient, results-driven professional with a proven track record in technical sales, account management, and customer engagement.

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, expanding market presence, and providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support. You will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and distribution partners to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and build long-term strategic relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise & Sales Support:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Vitrek’s electronic instrumentation and measurement solutions and their applications.

  • Lead technical discussions and product demonstrations for end-users, OEMs, and distributors.

  • Act as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams.

  • Provide application guidance, post-sales support, and troubleshooting assistance.

  • Identify opportunities for new product development based on customer needs.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.

  • Manage key accounts, distribution partners, and system integrators to maximize growth.

  • Drive revenue through direct technical sales and strategic account management.

  • Represent Vitrek at trade shows, industry events, and lead-generation initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to forecast revenue and provide sales reporting.

Collaboration & Strategy:

  • Work closely with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to align sales efforts with company goals.

  • Contribute to new product strategies and market expansion initiatives.

  • Provide customer insights to support product innovation and business growth.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or applications engineering.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of electronic instrumentation and measurement systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and performance data.

  • Experience working with systems integrators and OEMs.

Sales & Business Acumen:

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Personal Attributes:

  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and proactive.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to travel 20%–40% throughout the Western region.
